Helping ABA organizations make sense of healthcare compliance.
We have been practicing behavior analysts for more than 20 years, long before ABA became healthcare.
Before insurance was part of the picture, ABA organizations operated very differently. Clinical expertise and quality ABA services were the primary focus, and many of the healthcare regulations, payer requirements, documentation standards, and compliance expectations that exist today simply weren't part of the landscape.
When health insurance reform expanded coverage for ABA services, we recognized that the field was entering a new chapter.
The opportunity was significant. More families could access services than ever before.
But we also understood that healthcare funding would bring new expectations.
Organizations would need to navigate documentation requirements, payer policies, privacy regulations, audits, and compliance obligations that most behavior analysts had never been trained to manage.
Rather than wait for someone else to solve the problem, we used what behavior analysis taught us about building effective systems and together built one of the earliest compliance programs inside Michael's own ABA organization.
Those systems were tested through licensing reviews and payer audits. They did exactly what they were designed to do: protect the organization from changing requirements and recoupment demands.
Those experiences reinforced something we had already suspected: good organizations can be placed at significant risk when they are operating in a healthcare environment they were never trained to navigate.
Over time, we expanded our expertise through accreditation work, standards development, formal healthcare compliance training, and professional compliance credentials. But the mission stayed the same.
We started ABA Compliance Solutions because we care deeply about the future of the ABA field.
We believe organizations can provide outstanding clinical care that reflects their values while also building the systems necessary to succeed in today's healthcare environment.
Our goal is to help ABA providers understand the world they are operating in, navigate compliance challenges with confidence, create practical systems, and build organizations that are prepared for whatever comes next.

“I've spent over 30 years as a behavior analyst, and I've seen how unprepared good organizations can be for the realities of healthcare compliance.
My focus is privacy and security, billing and documentation, auditing, and helping organizations respond when something goes wrong.
I started ABA Compliance Solutions so providers don't have to learn these lessons the hard way.”

“My work is about building the systems behind great clinical care — policies, documentation, monitoring, and the standards that hold it all together.
I've helped lead industry-wide standards development for ABA, and I know how much it helps when those systems are built before you need them, not after.
If you're building something worth protecting, I want to help you protect it.”
